Birth Services

If you interview Kelly and select her as your birth doula, you will receive: 

•  Two (2) two-hour meetings with you (and any applicable birth partner[s]) during your pregnancy:
  • Putting together your birth plan
  • Discussing childbirth basics*
  • Exploring non-medical comfort measures during birth
  • Navigating any questions you may have at the time
• Text, phone, email support from Kelly during pregnancy

*Please note that Kelly will require (a) new parent(s) to take a general childbirth class

• On-call, 24 hour birth doula availability beginning two weeks before Estimated Due Date (EDD)  (Backup doula to be arranged ahead of delivery in case of emergency for Kelly)
• Birth doula support during labor and delivery; no additional fees
• Typically doulas stay 1-2 hours after birth depending on situation

All birth clients will receive :

• One postpartum visit, up to ninety (90) minutes long,  which will include:
  • Checking in generally
  • Lots of listening from Kelly
  • Resource and info-sharing
  • Potential recommendations for postpartum doula services (see below-if you end up booking postpartum services, this 90-minute meeting will not cost you as it's included in the birth fee)
  • Last but not least: dinner from Kelly!

What does a five (5)-hour shift in your place of residence look like for a postpartum doula? Kelly can provide:

• A listening ear for your birth story, if you want to share!
• Breastfeeding/chestfeeding and/or bottlefeeding support
• Information regarding safe infant sleep
• Nutritious meals and/or snacks prepared from your food
• Light house tidying and light sibling care. Postpartum doulas are NOT housekeepers or babysitters, however, Kelly can help you find these services if necessary

Right now is a perfect time to set up postpartum doula care for your fourth trimester! Shifts at your place of residence can include:

• 3:30pm-8:30pm Monday-Thursday
• 10am-3pm; 4pm-9pm- Saturdays (clients may only book one of two shifts on a weekend day)
• 11am-3pm and 4pm-9pm- Sundays (clients may only book one of two shifts on a weekend day)

A MINIMUM OF 15 HOURS MUST BE PURCHASED TO BE UTILIZED WITHIN THE FIRST 12 WEEKS AFTER BIRTH. Families may not schedule more than twelve hours in one week
