A postpartum doula is a trained professional who provides continuous physical, emotional, and informational support* to the client and other(s) who share the home with the client after baby arrives within the "fourth trimester."  *Note: postpartum doulas do not perform any medical procedures

Kelly works with clients in Terre Haute, Indiana. For both birth and postpartum services, she can travel to neighboring communities within a 20-mile radius (Terre Haute, Clinton, Brazil, Farmersburg, West Terre Haute) excluding Illinois.

Kelly has been trained in a DONA- certified birth doula intensive seminar taught by Robin Elise Weiss, PhD, MPH, AdvCD/BDT(DONA), CLC, LCCE, FACCE.

Kelly has also been trained in a DONA-certified postpartum doula intensive seminar taught by Ann Grauer,  AdvCD/AdvPCD(DONA), BDT/PDT(DONA), LCCE, FACCE, IBCLC, RLC.

Kelly will attend hospital births and home births; for home births, you must be working with and have a midwife or nurse midwife present for Kelly to attend.

$1000 flat fee which includes a $200 deposit upon mutual signing of Kelly's birth doula contract; please see "Services" page for description of what is included in this fee. Absolutely! Discussion of postpartum services and agreements would take place during the birth client's prenatal meetings with Kelly as part of their birth doula service; the initial 90-minute postpartum visit is included in the cost of the birth doula fee, and the other postpartum support would be charged per hour.
