About Kelly

Hi there, and thanks for visiting! My background, while eclectic, lends itself to my work as a doula.  I have two degrees in music performance (viola, like a big violin!), but I've spent the last fifteen years working as a college admission professional. Throughout that time, I learned to serve as a guide and support person for families and their high school students navigating the college search and application processes. This experience directly correlates with the work of a birth and postpartum doula; although this time, I'm the guide and support person for families with their pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum journeys! 

I am an empathetic active listener who loves to engage others and learn about their lives and interests. I am fiercely committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion; particularly, I'm interested in advocating for BIPOC individuals and communities as well as LGBTQIA+ individuals and communities. I feel strongly that ALL pregnant and birthing people, along with new families, deserve a high level of support and guidance from a birth and/or postpartum doula which will provide them with knowledge and confidence to become the best parent(s) they can be!

Above you see my little family (minus our sweet recue dog, Artie!), which is definitely what I love! Our son is in elementary school, and my husband Patrick is a music teacher; we all work at the same elementary school together during the school year, as I'm an educational assistant there as well.

Playing my viola, Formula 1 Racing, researching the metaphysical, baking, reading, eating what I bake, supporting our local Terre Haute community, playing Dungeons and Dragons, being in nature, and working with families!
